We've getting a new vacuum almost every year. Every time I bought a new vacuum I always struggle if I should buy a Dyson. But it is a little too expensive. Till the last vacuum die. I finally made up my mind. I'm so sick and tired about washing the filters(not just 1 but several!!) I got really lucky, it was on clearance so I got a really good deal. And it works great, I never know my house is this dirty till I use dyson(SERIOUSLY!!) It really sucks up all the DIRT! My husband thought it's too small, but it's perfect for me. It can get into almost everywhere. And no filter, perfect! I don't think I'm gonna having to buy another vacuum for a long long time. :)

I would like to reiterate what I said in the title: This vacuum cleaner is AMAZING! I am a student living in a one-bedroom apartment. Up until this point, I would go to Target and buy cheapo vacuum cleaners. Everytime one would lose suction, I would dump it and zip off to Target and buy another cheapo vacuum. My last vacuum finally went KAPUT, so I researched Dyson and solicited the feedback of friends who already owned a Dyson product. When I received glowing reviews of Dyson products, I figured I might as well shell out the money and go for it!

Let me tell you, I am not the richest person in the world (I'm a student)so this vacuum was definitely an investment. IT WAS WELL WORTH THE MONEY!! My vacuum arrived today and I vacuumed the entire apartment. I was surprised (and disgusted) by the amount of filth in my carpet that the vacuum picked up. The vacuum even picked up the random loose long hair clumps I shed all over the house that my previous crap vacuum failed to pick up (Ladies, you KNOW what I'm talking about!) After I attacked the carpet, I tried to get to the cobwebs and dust in the corners of the walls. I had a very hard time trying to use the telescoping part, so I called Dyson's help line.

The Dyson customer service representative was extremely helpful and nice. He knew exactly the problem I was describing and remedied my problem in less than a minute! I also inquired about the 5 year warranty that the vacuum came with but wasn't sure I qualified for since I bought the product on Target.com. He said it was no problem and that he could register my product for the warranty right over the phone. All I needed was the serial number on the bottom of the box. He was very helpful and courteous-- Dyson has made a great first impression on me.

I am person who sometimes experiences buyer's remorse, especially over expensive items. However, I do not feel that with this product. It is absolutely everything it promised it would be. Although I am sad to part with $400+ (including tax and such), I am overall very, very satisfied with this purchase!

Wonderful! I love my first Dyson. Moves effortlessly from floor to area rug. Easy to empty and maintain. Well worth it. [...] I purchased a Shark Ultra Steam Blaster from Target the same week as I got my Dyson Slim and I finished the whole house (2400sf) in one weekend. Even picks up all cat hair from white and cream Flor tiles. :-) Spring cleaning is done!

I have birds and I was hoping a Dyson would solve my problem of bird seed hulls in the carpet. Nope. I have to go over and over the area and it never really picks them all up.

We just purchased our Dyson Slim and it was worth every penny! Usually it would take me 1 1/2 days to clean (deep clean)a 2400 sq. foot house. Now I finish in one day and I still have time and energy to tackle other jobs in my house. Our old vacuum cleaner weighed 26 lbs...I would get tired lugging the thing around and especially after doing the stairs. Before, I would use a broom to flick out the dust that would settle where the carpet and the walls meet...the Dyson slim easily pulls up the dust and dirt in that area. Also, I would have to move a lot of furniture around just to get to where the dust settled. Now, the amount of funiture that I move is less than half from before. The Dyson Slim also picks up on hard flooring. After using it on my tiles I took my swifter and the pad was barely dirty..before the Dyson I would have to change it out 2-3 times on just 1 room. The Dyson Slim is so light weight, easy to maneuver that the first time I used it I went through each room twice. The amount of dirt it picked up was incredible! My carpet is only 2 years old, but after using the Dyson Slim on it, it feels brand new again. I have 3 kids and they commented "Wow Mom, you are really enjoying your new toy". I'm so happy! Now I can enjoy my weekends..I'm not spending my whole weekend cleaning and I have piece of mind that my house is truly clean.

this vacume is fantastic- light weight- perfect for an appartment- and works better than any vacuum I have ever used.- I don't have a problem with it reaching 17 feet, it seems to do that easily.

Love the DC18 Slim! We had the DC07, but with our thick carpet, the DC07 was really digging into the carpet and was impossible to push across the floor. Called Dyson and they recommended we exhange the DC07 for the DC18 Slim. Works great! Lighter and easier to push plus picks up lots of dirt. We are very pleased.

I love it. I wish I would have bought the bigger one, but at least this one is small enough to stash in the hall closet.

I waited several months debating on whether or not to spend the money to buy a Dyson. I wanted the Slim. Now that I have one, I can't stop vacuuming!! Some people complain that the canister on the Slim is too small, but I love seeing all the dirt/dust/hair that the Dyson gets up, and don't mind going to the trash can to empty it. Don't wait any longer. Buy a Dyson!
